Landscape Waste Collection Begins April 1

Spring is almost here and soon it will be time to tidy up our yards!  Please take note that landscape waste is collected seasonally beginning on April 1st through December 15th on the same service day as your garbage and recycling collection.  Landscape waste collection is INCLUDED in your service. There is NO extra fee for landscape collection.

WHAT IS CONSIDERED LANDSCAPE WASTE?

Landscape waste, also known as yard waste, consists of organic waste materials accumulated as the result of cultivation and maintenance of gardens, lawns, shrubbery, trees, and vines. All residential customers will be permitted to place up to six (6) bags, bundles, or containers per collection.

HERE ARE A FEW REMINDERS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR THIS SERVICE:

• You must use approved landscape waste containers or bags
• Bundles need to be tied in biodegradable twine or string not to exceed 4’ length, 24” in diameter.
• Bundles should not exceed 50 lbs when full.
• Brush must be under two inches (2”) in diameter.
• Personal metal or plastic containers cannot exceed 32 gallons or 50 lbs when full.
• Kraft bags cannot exceed 32 gallons or 50 lbs when full.
