Board of Fire and Police Commissioners

The Fire and Police Commission is responsible, pursuant to Illinois State statutes and city ordinances, for testing, appointing, and promoting personnel to and within the Police Department and the Fire Department for the City of North Chicago.  Additionally, the Fire and Police Commission conducts hearings for officers and members of the Police and Fire Departments for consideration of suspension and discharge.
