North Chicago Announces Trick or Treating Hours

Happy Halloween, City of North Chicago!  Trick or Treating in North Chicago takes place on October 31 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Halloween is a fun and exciting time for our children, and we want everyone to enjoy a safe and memorable holiday! Here are a few safety reminders to keep in mind while trick-or-treating:

• Stay Visible: Use flashlights, glow sticks, and reflective clothing so children can be seen after dark.

• Walk Safely: Use sidewalks and crosswalks, look both ways before crossing, and watch for vehicles.

• Keep an Eye on the Kids: Accompany younger children and make sure older children stay with a trusted group.

• Check All Treats: Inspect candy and treats before allowing children to eat them.

• Choose Safe Costumes: Ensure costumes fit properly and do not block children's vision or cause them to trip.

• A Friendly Reminder to Drivers: Please slow down, stay alert, and watch carefully for children walking in neighborhoods and crossing streets.

Let's work together to make Halloween safe, fun, and memorable for every family in North Chicago!
