SWALCO Launches a Recycling Educational Campaign

SWALCO’S “Loop the Cart” Character Helps Promote Recycling Education

The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) has launched an educational campaign in North Chicago to help residents better understand what can—and cannot—be recycled.

As part of the campaign, SWALCO features Loop the Cart, a fun and friendly character designed to make learning about recycling more engaging for residents of all ages.

According to SWALCO, “Loop loves to eat recyclables! They’re oh-so tasty, and recycling helps reduce pollution too! Feed Loop your cardboard boxes, metal cans, plastic bottles and tubs, glass jars, and paper. But please, don’t bag your recyclables—put them in loose.”
