National Night Out Promotes Community-Building
National Night Out is an annual nationwide community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie, and crime and drug prevention awareness. It is held annually on the first Tuesday in August.
In North Chicago, the community came together to celebrate safety, partnership, and the strong relationships that make North Chicago such an amazing place to live. “We loved meeting families, sharing conversations, enjoying great food, and spending time with the incredible residents we proudly serve,” the NCPD stated in a Facebook post.
“A huge shout‑out to all the community groups, volunteers, and city staff who helped make the event a success. Your dedication and support mean so much! National Night Out is about building trust, strengthening connections, and standing united—and North Chicago showed up in the best way. Thank you for being part of it,” the Facebook post added.
